Monthly Rate:

There is a monthly fee of $6.50 per workstation, which provides for up to 6.0 GB of compressed data storage. If you store more than 6.0 GB of data on the EZ-Backup backup server, you will be charged $0.60 per GB up to 15GB of additional storage. Storage above the additional 15GB is charged at a lower rate. Refer to the Rate Schedule, below. Note that the data, which you back up or archive, is first compressed by your workstation before being stored on the backup server.

Billing Mechanism:

EZ-Backup subscriptions are billed once a month at the end of the month. Note that billing for the month of June will show up in the fiscal year ending June 30th. At this time, we are only set up to charge against University account numbers. We hope to have additional billing options available in the future.

Discounts:

In order to more fairly recover costs, the following discounts are provided.

• The >15GB Extra Storage Discount for individual systems, or collections of systems within a single department which meet certain qualifications, provides a reduced rate for more than 15GB of additional storage.
• The >100GB Static Data Discount for individual systems which qualify as having extremely static (e.g., archival) data provides a reduced rate for extra storage above 100GB.
• The >50 Nodes Per Department Discount for groups with more than 50 nodes, the base monthly fee per node is discounted for the 51st and subsequent nodes.
